FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – On January 10, 2025, the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) Street Crimes Unit was contacted by a Menards Corporate Investigator regarding a suspect involved in thefts across all three Menards locations in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area.
During the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Brandon Gerber. Between May 2024 and December 2024, Gerber stole approximately $76,548.41 in merchandise from Menards, which included 41 separate felony thefts totaling around $57,553.59 and 53 separate misdemeanor thefts amounting to roughly $18,994.82.
The FWPD says the charges were filed against Gerber, and on March 5, 2025, detectives located him while he was attending court for an unrelated theft case and took him into custody. Gerber was transported to the Allen County Jail, where he was booked on 10 counts of Level 6 felony theft and 10 counts of Class A misdemeanor theft. He is being held without bond due to pending theft cases.

On 01/10/2025, the FWPD Street Crimes Unit was contacted by a Menards Corporate Investigator regarding a suspect who had been stealing from all three Menards stores in Fort Wayne, Indiana area.
During the investigation, Detectives identified the suspect as Brandon Gerber. From May 2024 through December 2024, Gerber stole approximately $76,548.41 in merchandise from Menards. This included 41 separate felony thefts which totaled approximately $57,553.59 and 53 separate misdemeanor thefts which totaled approximately $18,994.82.
Charges for Gerber’s arrest were completed and on 03/5/2025, Detectives located Gerber while he was in court for an unrelated theft case and placed him into custody. Gerber was transported to the Allen County Jail and booked in for 10 counts of level 6 felony Theft and 10 counts of class A Misdemeanor. Gerber is being held with no bond as he has pending theft cases.
