INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Three buildings in Indiana owned by the federal government are at risk of being closed down and sold.
The federal General Services Administration said the buildings are “not core to government operations.”
The Major General Emmett J. Bean Federal Center in Lawrence, the Minton-Capehart Federal Building in Indianapolis, and the Lee H. Hamilton Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in New Albany are all on the list.
Congressman Andre Carson says the Department of Government Efficiency “claims these buildings are functionally obsolete and unsuitable for use by the federal workforce,” he says that is not true.
