FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Two teenagers are recovering after they were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Fort Wayne.
Police responded to the 4900 block of Lima Road on reports of the shooting and found the two injured. Their injuries are not life-threatening.
One person was arrested near the scene on an outstanding warrant and not connected to the shooting. The Fort Wayne Police Department says that the investigation is ongoing.
The FWPD released the following:
Officers responded to the area of 4900 block of Lima Rd reference reports of multiple gunshots at approximately 1:30 am on February 23, 2025. Three juvenile teenagers were located in the area with injuries. Two of the injured juveniles were suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a local hospital where their injuries were determined to be non-life threatening. Later in the morning, officers were back in the same area collecting additional evidence. The indicant remains under investigation currently, and there is no current threat to public safety. An arrest was made near the incident; however, the person arrested was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant unrelated to the shooting.
