DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says that speed and alcohol were factors in a crash that left the driver with a head injury on Saturday.
According to a press release, the crash happened around 10:05 p.m. when 22-year-old Mathew Curey was heading south on County Road 61. As he approached a curve near County Road 22, he lost control due to the high rate of speed.
The truck started going into a ditch before Curey overcorrected which caused the truck to flip over. It eventually came to a stop after sliding and rolling back onto its tires.
Curey suffered injuries to his head and was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
