UPDATE (February 20, 2025):
Fort Wayne police have arrested 20-year-old Aniah Hill on an attempted murder charge in a shooting in September. The shooting left a 17-year-old boy fighting for his life.
19-year-old Aaron Amos was charged in October in the case. Hill has a jury trial scheduled to start June 24th.

On February 19, 2025, a second suspect was taken into custody in connection to the shooting incident that took place in the 4000 block of Oliver St on September 19, 2024. At approximately 1400 hours, the FWPD Homicide Task Force arrested Aniah Hill 20yo on a traffic stop in the area of Broadway and W. Wayne St. Aniah is currently confined at the Allen County jail and is preliminary charged with Attempted Murder.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police are investigating a shooting on the city’s south side.
According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, it happened just after 10:45 Thursday night near Oliver St. and Rudisill Blvd.
One person, a 17-year-old, has life-threatening injuries.
Police do not think there is an ongoing threat to the public.
The FWPD released the following:
The FWPD was notified of a shooting in the area of Oliver St. and E. Rudisill Blvd. on Sept. 19th, 2024 at roughly 10:48 pm. Initial information received from Dispatch was that the caller’s son was shot/grazed, and they were en route to the hospital. FWPD officers arrived in the area of Oliver and Rudisill and were looking for the scene of the shooting. Evidence of the shooting was located in the 4000 block of Oliver St. FWPD officers also responded to the hospital to make contact with the caller and the victim. The victim, a male juvenile, 17 years of age, was in life-threatening condition. There is no one currently in custody. This investigation is active and in its preliminary stages. Based on the information gathered, there is no threat to the public.
