Indiana Schools to return to letter grading system in 2026

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The quality of Indiana schools is expected to again be measured by letter grades in 2026.

The A-to-F grading system for schools has been suspended since 2018 when the state moved from the ISTEP test to a new state standardized test. The House Education Committee this week passed a bill to re-enact the letter grades for schools.
