FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Lighthouse is hoping the community will help out in an annual event. The group, along with Vorderman Volkswagen, is holding its fifth Stuff a Bug campaign this week.
The Lighthouse is a faith-based program providing a safe place for those in our community who struggle with life and life’s problems. During the Stuff a Bug event, they ask the community to help in their mission by donating everyday household items.

The Lighthouse, in partnership with Vorderman Volkswagen, is happy to announce our fifth annual Stuff a Bug campaign! During the week of January 20th through January 25th The Lighthouse through the “Stuff a Bug” campaign is asking for life-giving donations to support our community-based programs. We are asking the public to donate the following items to our outreach programs:
Paper Towels Cleaning Supplies
Toilet Paper Laundry Pods
Paper Plates Trash Bags
Plastic Eating Utensils Paper Cups
Keurig Coffee Pods Plastic Wrap and Foil
Dr. Brandon Bower, the founder and director of The Lighthouse stated, “The products raised through the Stuff a Bug campaign will support our residential addictions program, and our Food Bank outreach. Walking alongside our community as they seek to rebuild their lives is a great honor and with your support through Stuff a Bug, we can change lives, impact families, and strengthen our community.”
Donations can be dropped off and placed in the vintage VW’s parked at Vorderman’s Volkswagen located at 5811 Cross Creek Blvd, Fort Wayne, or The Lighthouse Family Thrift Store located at 6230 Lima Rd, Fort Wayne.
