FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says that a woman has life-threatening injuries after she was hit on Coliseum close to Goshen Friday morning.
The FWPD says that at 7:35am, officers responded to the 3500 block of W. Coliseum Boulevard and located an adult female in the roadway and began life-saving measures.
Medics arrived and assessed the victim’s condition as life-threatening. She was transported to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
Police think the woman was attempting to cross the road southbound when she was hit by an eastbound vehicle. The driver who struck the pedestrian stopped immediately and is cooperating with authorities. At this time, it appears to be an accident, with no signs of speed or alcohol being factors, according to the FWPD.

On January 17, 2025, at 7:35am, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 3500 block of W. Coliseum Blvd. Officers arrived and located an adult female victim in the roadway and began life-saving efforts.
Medics arrived and determined the female to be in life-threatening condition. They transported her to a local hospital, where she remains in life-threatening condition.
Initial information indicates the female was trying to walk southbound across the roadway when she was struck by a vehicle that was traveling eastbound. The driver that struck the pedestrian immediately stopped and is cooperating with police. This appears to be an accident, as neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors at this time.
The 3500 block of W. Coliseum Blvd. will remain closed while the Crash Investigation Team is processing the scene, taking measurements and collecting evidence to determine exactly what happened.
