INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Governor Mike Braun is directing Indiana state flags to be flown at full-staff on Inauguration Day.
The governor’s directive comes just one day after U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson ordered flags at the U.S. Capitol to be flown at full-staff on Monday when President-elect Trump takes his oath of office.
This is a change from President Biden’s order for flags to be flown at half-staff for a 30-day period running through January 28th to honor late former President Jimmy Carter.
Under Braun’s order, flags will be lowered again starting at sunrise on January 21st through the rest of the mourning period.
