FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says a man has now been charged in connection to a Waynedale shooting in December.
The FWPD said on Wednesday that 18-year-old Sincere White is charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery and Criminal Recklessness. The shooting came during a physical fight between multiple people on Colgate Drive on December 5, 2024. A teen girl was shot and left critically injured.

On January 14, 2025, an arrest warrant was issued for Sincere White 18yo in connection to the shooting incident that took place in the 2200 block of Colgate Dr on 12/05/2024. On January 15, 2025, the FWPD Homicide Task Force arrested Sincere White in the 7900 block of Serenity Dr without incident. Sincere White is currently being held at the Allen County Jail on preliminary charges of Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery and Criminal Recklessness.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon, leaving a teenager in critical condition after a fight involving 10 people in a Waynedale neighborhood.
The incident took place just before 3 p.m. in the 2200 block of Colgate Drive, where the group was reportedly fighting over money they had come to collect. Police say gunshots were fired during the altercation, according to FWPD Captain Jeremy Webb.
Three individuals involved in the incident were arrested after police stopped a blue pickup truck at the intersection of Bluffton and Lower Huntington roads. A fourth person, a teenager, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have not confirmed if all suspects have been located, but say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact them at 260-427-1201.

The FWPD responded to reports of a fight around 2:47 pm in the area of 2200 Colgate Dr. this evening. Initial dispatch comments advised that 10 people were physically fighting. Preliminary information indicates that 3 to 4 people went to a residence on Colgate Dr. to collect a debt. An altercation ensued between the residence and the people trying to collect money. During that altercation shots were fired. The nonresidence left in a blue pickup truck. The vehicle was stopped by police at Lower Huntington Rd. and Bluffton Rd. There were 4 people in the vehicle, one was a female teenager who was shot. She was transported to a local hospital by TRAA. She is in life-threatening condition. There other 3 occupants are currently detained. This incident is fluid and the pieces are being put together. Based on information obtained by investigators, there appears to be no ongoing threat to the public. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
