FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – We have learned the identity of a man who died as a result of a crash in the early hours of Christmas. Police said someone called 911 just before 4 a.m. when they spotted a vehicle that appeared to have crashed. Officers found the scene of a rollover wreck and the driver, identified as Aleksandr V. Bogun, who had been ejected from the vehicle. Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene.

On December 25, 2024, at approximately 3:48am, FWPD received a call about a single vehicle accident in the area of West Washington Center Rd and Flaugh Road. The initial call stated that it appeared as if a vehicle flipped over, and a person possibly ejected. When Officers arrived, they found an unresponsive male on the ground next to a vehicle that appeared to have been involved in a rollover accident. Medics arrived and pronounced the male deceased at the scene. It appears that speed was a factor.
The crash remains under investigation by the FWPD FACT team and the Allen County Coroner’s Office, which issued the following identifying the man who died:
On Wednesday, December 25th, 2024, the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of a motor vehicle crash at the 5900 block of West Washington Center Road, in Fort Wayne. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The person was identified as Aleksandr V. Bogun, 33, male, White of Arcola, Indiana.
Notification has been made to the legal next of kin. The Cause of Death is Multiple Blunt Force Injuries due to Motor Vehicle Crash and the Manner of Death is Accident. Aleksandr V. Bogun is the 41st traffic fatality for Allen County in 2024.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
