FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A police pursuit ended Tuesday afternoon on Coliseum Boulevard after officers deployed stop sticks.
The Fort Wayne Police Department was assisting the Allen County Sheriff’s Department with serving a warrant in the 1300 block of Summit Street just before noon, according to an FWPD statement.
The suspect, 30-year-old Sundarpal Ghotra, reportedly fled in a vehicle, prompting a chase with police.
The stop sticks were used to slow Ghotra down, and the pursuit came to an end on Coliseum Boulevard at Speedway Drive, where more than a dozen squad cars surrounded the vehicle.
Preliminary charges are still pending, but Ghotra was wanted on multiple offenses, including retail theft, resisting law enforcement, criminal conversion, driving while suspended, failure to appear, three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and possession of paraphernalia.
FWPD confirmed that Ghotra was taken into custody and arrested.

The FWPD was assisting ACPD with a warrant service at 1300 Summit St. today at roughly 11:58 am. The suspect fled from the warrant service in a vehicle and a pursuit ensued. Stop sticks were deployed and were effective. The pursuit ended at Speedway and Coliseum Blvd. The suspect was taken into custody and arrested.
