DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – Snow and temperatures falling through the overnight and morning hours Thursday led to some slick roadways throughout the area. Police in DeKalb County think it contributed to a rollover crash on I-69 just after 5 a.m.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department says that a pickup driver lost control on an icy bridge on I-69 near the 328-mile marker going southbound. According to a release, the pickup spun around and then flipped, coming to rest on its top. An SUV that was coming from behind could not stop in enough time and hit the truck.
Both drivers sustained head injuries and were taken to a hospital.
