FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Allen County Coroner’s Office identified a man found dead in an apartment north of downtown on the 600 block of Tennessee Avenue. Police have not released many details, but the coroner’s office says that James Glenn was homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office released the following:
On Saturday, November 16th, 2024, the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of a shooting in the 600 block of Tennessee Avenue, in Fort Wayne. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim was identified as James Anthony Glenn, 58, male, Black of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
An autopsy has been completed and notification has been made to the legal next of kin. The Cause of Death is Multiple Gunshot Wounds and the Manner of Death is Homicide. James Anthony Glenn is the 39th homicide for Allen County in 2024. The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

On Saturday November 16th ,2024 at approximately 11:30pm, Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a residence located in the 600 block of Tennessee Avenue in reference to an unknown problem. As officers and paramedics arrived on the scene, they located a deceased individual inside an apartment, in the building. There is limited information currently. Homicide Detectives are working to collect all available information regarding this incident. Anyone with information, is asked to please call the FWPD at 427-1201, Crime Stoppers at 436-7867or use the P3 tips App. There is no threat to public safety regarding this incident. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and Allen County Coroner’s Office
