INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The three candidates for governor in Indiana held their final debate before voters choose which one of them will succeed Governor Eric Holcomb Thursday night.
Republican U.S. Senator Mike Braun did his best to fight off attacks from Democrat Jennifer McCormick and Libertarian Donald Rainwater.
Rainwater said Braun “admitted tonight that he is the ultimate insider with lots of government experience.”
He said that means everything Hoosiers are frustrated by with the federal or state government, Braun is “right in the thick of it.” McCormick criticized the Republican nominee for lieutenant governor, Micah Beckwith, as being a self-proclaimed Christian nationalist who is ultraconservative.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The second of three scheduled debates in the race for Indiana governor was held last night in Indianapolis. Libertarian nominee Donald Rainwater joined Republican nominee Mike Braun and Democratic nominee Jennifer McCormick for the first time. The three were asked about property taxes, legalizing marijuana, affordable housing, and more.
The third and final debate is scheduled for October 24.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Republican U.S. Senator Mike Braun and Democratic nominee for governor Jennifer McCormick debated Wednesday night.
The two are vying to succeed term-limited Governor Eric Holcomb in November. Braun said he is open to increasing Indiana’s minimum wage to $7.25 but would likely instead prioritize economic development. McCormick says she would consider raising the wage.
On abortion, McCormick supports overturning the state’s ban on the procedure, while Braun would keep it in place.
