FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The jury for Richard Allen’s double murder trial will be sworn in today.
A dozen jurors and four alternates were selected this week for the trial. Allen is charged with killing 13-year-old Abby Williams and 14-year-old Libby German in February 2017. He wasn’t arrested until October 2022.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The jury is set for Richard Allen’s double murder trial that will be held in Carroll County. His defense team revealed during the selection process yesterday that there was hair found in the hand of one victim, Abby Williams, that did not match his hair.
Allen is charged with killing Williams and Libby German in February 2017 and was arrested in October 2022. The jurors were selected from Allen County and the opening statements in Carroll County are scheduled for Friday.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The man accused in the deaths of two teenage girls in the Indiana area more than seven years ago will stand trial. Prosecutors say Richard Allen murdered 13-year-old Abigail Williams and 14-year-old Liberty German in the small city of Delphi while the two were hiking.
Monday was the first day of jury selection in the case which has garnered nationwide attention.
Monday ended with eight women and six men selected. The full jury is expected to be chosen on Tuesday, which would mean no court proceedings will be held on Wednesday.
The case went unsolved for years before Allen was eventually arrested in 2022 with new evidence.

DELPI, Ind. (ADAMS) – Jury selection for one of Indiana’s highest-profile trials ever will start Monday in Allen County.
Richard Allen is facing double murder charges for the 2017 deaths of 13-year-old Abby Williams and 14-year-old Libby German and his trial is expected to take a month. Picking the jury is likely to take three days. Allen was arrested in October 2022 and charged with the February 2017 murders.
