DEKALB CO. Ind. (ADAMS) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department says a 21-year-old woman from Decatur complained of pain after her vehicle was hit by another on I-69 Monday night. Police say the vehicle that hit hers took off.
It happened around 10 p.m. on Monday on I-69 southbound.
The woman told police that her Chevrolet Spark hit from behind just south of the LaOtto exit. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department says that a truck that may have been involved was located by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department. Despite finding the truck – a 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 – no driver was located.
The current condition of the woman in the initial wreck is unknown.
Police are continuing to investigate.
The DeKalb Co. Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Central Dispatch, Auburn Fire Department, Parkview EMS, Allen County Sheriff’s Department, and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department.
