FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A teen boy is in critical and life-threatening condition after being pulled from a pool in Fort Wayne. Lifeguards at Glenaqua Pool performed CPR after getting the teen out of the water until medics arrived. Police say he suffered a medical emergency, but are preserving any potential evidence as a precaution.

The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to an EMS assist at the 5100th block of Desoto Dr. just before 1pm. There was a medical emergency involving a male juvenile at the pool. Lifeguards on duty provided CPR to the juvenile until Paramedics arrived and took over life-saving measures. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital in life-threatening condition.
Detectives and Crime Scene officers made the scene to interview witnesses and preserve any potential evidence as a precaution. This is standard procedure in case an apparent accident or medical episode reveal other elements after a thorough investigation.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department.
