FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – On Monday, the Rescue Mission announced the promotion of Dustin (Dusty) Krause to Chief Operating Officer. Dusty was named a 2024 Unsung Hero by Downtown Fort Wayne.
The Rescue Mission released the following:
“Dusty has played an instrumental role in the everyday functions of The Rescue Mission over the past five years,” shared Pastor Thomas McArthur, President and CEO of The Rescue Mission. “We are excited to see him grow and continue to lead in the role of COO.”
“As an intern from Ivy Tech six years ago, I stepped into the halls of the Rescue Mission with zero knowledge or experience of homelessness. Like many, I assumed they merely handed out soup. Little did I know, the moment I crossed that threshold, my life would change forever. The Rescue Mission stole my heart,” said Dusty Krause.
“For me, coming to work each day isn’t just a job – it’s a calling. I have the privilege of participating in what I can only describe as Kingdom building. It’s about making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most. And let me tell you, it doesn’t get any better than that. Join us in our mission. Together, let’s build a community where everyone has a place to belong and thrive.”
The Fort Wayne Rescue Mission is honored and blessed to have an employee like Dusty in such a key leadership role. We look forward to all of the amazing work he will be able to do for not only The Rescue Mission but the entire community.
