FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Spring is blooming at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo. The zoo will open for a preview this week when many local students are on spring break.
The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo released the following:
Join us for Wild Zoo Spring Preview from 10 am to 3 pm on select dates in April. Come say hello to the animals you have been missing, build a bird feeder to welcome migrating birds, ride the Z.O.&O. Railroad and the Endangered Species Carousel for free, and so much more!
“Zoo members would ask why the Zoo wasn’t open during Spring Break. My senior leaders met and we decided to make it an event in 2024,” said Rick Schuiteman, Executive Director. “Not all your favorite animals will be available to see, but many will like Paula the red panda, Loki the Canada lynx, Meeko the otter, and Jethro the goat will be ready for Wild Zoo Spring Preview guests.”
The Zoo will host Wild Zoo Spring Preview, April 1 – 7, 13 – 14, 20 – 21 from 10 am to 3 pm. General admission is $12, kids 12 & under $10, and FREE for Zoo members.
