INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana’s former public employees will get a one-time benefit bonus by October and are guaranteed to get an annual 13th check for the foreseeable future.
Governor Holcomb signed a bill Wednesday that the retirees view as a big win after lawmakers reached a compromise on the final day of the session.
State Representative Brian Buchanan says the law ensures public retirees will be taken care of and makes the Indiana Public Retirement System more sustainable.
