FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police arrested 19-year-old Leland Hairston Wednesday afternoon and he is charged with murder. Hairston is accused of shooting and stabbing 21-year-old Divoryan Warren-Hill on February 26th. The victim’s brother, Dachena Warren-Hill, was shot and killed by Fort Wayne police last November and the prosecutor’s office has ruled the shooting was justified.

On 03/06/2024 at 1537 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department arrested 19-year-old Leland Hairston on one count of MURDER for the homicide of Divoryan Warren-Hill that occurred on 2/26/2024 at 1630 hours in the 3000 block of Lynn Avenue. Hairston was arrested without incident in a traffic stop and was transported to the Allen County Jail. The Homicide Unit was assisted in the arrest by the Gang and Violent Crime Unit, the Narcotics Division, the Aerial Support Unit, and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The suspicious death of a 21-year-old found in a home on Lynn Avenue on Monday has been ruled as a homicide. The Allen County Coroner says that Divoryan Lawan Warren-Hill of Fort Wayne was stabbed in the neck and shot several times. Police have not made any arrests.
Several local outlets are reporting that Warren-Hill’s 20-year-old sister Dachena Warren-Hill was shot and killed by a Fort Wayne police officer in November. That shooting just this week was ruled by the prosecutor’s office as justified.

On January 26th, 2024, at about 16:50 hours the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of a death investigation in the 3000 block of Lynn Avenue, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An autopsy has been completed and notification has been made to the next of kin. The individual was identified as Divoryan Lawan Warren-Hill, male, Black, 21 years of age, from Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Cause of Death is Multiple Gunshot Wounds and Stab Wound of Neck, and the Manner of Death is Homicide. Divoryan Lawan Warren-Hill is the 8th Homicide for Allen County in 2024. The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says a death investigation is underway after an adult male was found in a home on the 3000 block of Lynn Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Monday.
Police don’t think there is a threat to the public but said that his death may have been related to criminal activity. Police are still investigating.

The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to an unknown problem in the 3000 block of Lynn Ave. at roughly 4:30pm on Feb. 26th, 2024. Upon arrival officers located an adult deceased male victim in a residence on Lynn Ave. Preliminary evidence indicates possible criminal activity. Homicide detectives and crime scene made the scene and took over the investigation.
Based on the evidence at hand, this appears to be an isolated incident.
The Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased and the cause and manner of death; pending next of kin notification and an autopsy. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Coroner’s Office.
