FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is providing free in-person tax assistance and preparation from January 29 through April 15 at select Allen County Public Library (ACPL) locations as part of the nation’s largest free, volunteer-based tax assistance and preparation program.
The program is led by trained volunteers and is open to all taxpayers, regardless of age. AARP membership is not required. Assistance is provided by appointment only.
Acpl representatives released the following:
“The Library strives to connect our community to the services and resources that people need,” said ACPL Programs and Partnerships Specialist Melissa Martinez. “We understand the very real impact of tax returns on people’s lives and we also recognize how confusing the tax system can be. We couldn’t be happier to continue to host this critical program that overcomes barriers and fills in gaps year after year.”
