FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police say a suspect in a murder in the city has been arrested in Tennessee.
They sent information about the suspect to the Lebanon, Tennessee police east of Nashville on Friday.
They eventually found the suspect’s vehicle and found the person was inside when they did a “high-risk” traffic stop.
The Lebanon Police Department announced on social media that the arrest was made on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the Fort Wayne Police Department said that the arrest was connected to the murder of a 14-year-old earlier this month on Vance Avenue.

Details/Summary: On Friday, January 19th, 2024, the Fort Wayne Police Departments Homicide Unit identified the location of a homicide suspect in Lebanon, Tennessee. The Homicide Unit coordinated with the Lebanon Police Department (Tennessee) reference the charges and the arrest of the suspect. The suspect, a male, juvenile, 14 years old, is facing a murder charge reference the homicide of Christopher Izekiel Easton on January 13th, 2024, in the 4900 block of Vance Avenue. The juvenile will face an extradition hearing to determine extradition back to Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Homicide Unit was assisted by the Allen County Prosecutors Office and the Lebanon Police Department.
