FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation opened the Headwaters Ice Rink for the season at noon on Saturday, November 18. The Saturday before Thanksgiving is the traditional opening day since the rink opened in 2003, however, opening and operating is dependent on the weather conditions.

Following opening day, the rink will be open Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays. The regular hours of operation and admission fees will be:
Director of Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Steve McDaniel says “Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation looks forward to continuing the culture of excellence and success of the ice rink that was developed by the Headwaters Park Alliance. As we open the rink this season, we anticipate seeing new and returning skaters show off their moves at one of the ‘can’t-miss’ outdoor recreation amenities in downtown Fort Wayne.”
New programming is planned at Headwaters Ice Rink for the 2023-2024 season in January and February with themes of popular music, yoga, skating demonstrations and a very special guest character. Discover all of the details in the Winter edition of the Fun Times activity guide.

Ten-punch skating passes are available to purchase at the rink, located at 333 South Clinton Street in downtown Fort Wayne, during normal operation hours.
