ALLEN CO. Ind. (ADAMS) – The Allen County Sheriff’s Department says that a woman died in a motorcycle crash on Schwartz Road close to Notestine on Sunday evening.
According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, just after 5:30 p.m., the woman was the sole occupant of the motorcycle and was heading south on Schwartz when her bike left the road for an unknown reason.
Police said she was thrown off the motorcycle before the bike came to a rest near a fence. The woman was taken to a hospital in serious to critical condition, but later died due to her injuries.
The woman’s identity will be released by the Allen County Coroner once an autopsy is completed.

On November 5, 2023, at approximately 5:33 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area of Schwartz Road and Notestine Road, reference a personal injury crash. Upon arrival, officers and medics located one person in serious to critical condition.
A preliminary investigation indicated one motorcycle was traveling southbound on Schwartz Road, south of Notestine Road, when it left the roadway for unknown reasons. The driver of the motorcycle was ejected and the motorcycle continued until it came to rest near a fence.
The driver, an adult female, was transported to a local hospital in serious to critical condition. Despite life-saving efforts, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital a short time later.
This incident remains under investigation.
