DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says that a crash on I-69 early Saturday was caused by a radio station change.
Police say that a Michigan man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries following the crash just south of the Auburn I-69 exit, near mile marker 328.
Devin N Schnelle,19, was driving northbound on I-69 when he went to change the radio station. Police said this caused his car to swerve.
While trying to avoid hitting the guardrail he reportedly overcorrected causing the car to roll several times before coming to a stop at the median.
Schnelle had only a minor injury to his hand and was transported by EMS to an area hospital.
The DeKalb Co. Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Auburn Police Department, Auburn Fire Department, and Parkview EMS.
