The Allen County Coroner’s Office released the following:
The autopsy has been completed and notification has been made to the next of kin for the female victim that was found in a residence in the 2300 block of Fox Avenue, in Fort Wayne, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at approximately 08:50 hours. The decedent was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority.
The decedent has been positively identified as Alisa Marie True, female, White, 40 years of age from Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Cause of Death has been determined to be Gunshot Wound of Torso and the Manner of Death is Homicide. Alisa Marie True is the 18th Homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2023. The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says a man was arrested on Tuesday after a fatal shooting.
Initially, the FWPD said officers responded to the 2300 block of Fox Avenue for an “unknown problem” just before 9 a.m.
Once officers were inside they found an unresponsive person. Police later said that it was a woman who was found and that she had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The FWPD said 42-year-old Corby James Lee was arrested on a preliminary charge of murder. There have not been many details released in the case. The woman’s identity has not been released.
By Tuesday afternoon, FWPD officials released the following:
On September 19th, 2023 at approximately 0851 hours, the FWPD responded to 2323 Fox Ave. regarding an unknown problem in which a female had been shot. Upon arrival, officers detained Corby James Lee at the residence without incident. Officers located an unresponsive female inside, performed life saving measures, but later pronounced the female deceased. FWPD Homicide unit began an investigation at the residence and arrested Corby James Lee for murder. Also assisting in this investigation was Crime Scene, Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, Coroner’s Office, Department of Child Services, and FWPD Victim’s Assistance.
