DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department says that an Angola man was hospitalized he was ejected from his motorcycle in a crash near Garrett on Tuesday.
Around 7:00 p.m., 22-year-old Justyn Morrison was heading southbound on County Road 7 near County Road 54 at a high rate of speed when Morrison attempted to slow down, according to officials.
Police said when Morrison attempted to slow down, the front wheel came causing him to lose control. Morrison was thrown from the bike.
He suffered a laceration to the head and road rash. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.
Morrison was taken to be treated for his injuries.
The DeKalb Co. Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Garrett Police Department, Garrett Fire Department, and Parkview EMS.
