ALBION, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Dekko Foundation, located in Kendallville, IN, has awarded a $4,800 grant towards Black Pine Animal Sanctuary’s Strategic Planning Project.
“Having a strategic plan in place will enable us to track progress towards our goals,” replied Black Pine Animal Sanctuary Executive Director Trish Nicols. “From staff to board members to volunteers, everyone will be able to better understand the sanctuary’s larger strategy, and that will directly impact our success.”
Representatives with Black Pine released the following:
The goal is to create a 5-year strategic plan that specifies strategies and assessment measures for:
· Developed budget and fundraising goals.
· Enhanced program offerings that are mission based and based on experiential learning.
· Board member roles, responsibilities, and bylaws revision.
Fort Wayne based 3 Point Fundraising Consulting LLC has been contracted to work with Black Pine Animal Sanctuary to create their new strategic plan.
The Dekko Foundation was created in 1981 by manufacturing businessman Chester Dekko. Mr. Dekko chose the mission of fostering economic freedom through education, for his foundation. Though Mr. Dekko passed away in 1992, but his vision continues through his foundation.
