FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Veterans National Memorial Shrine & Museum, located at 2122 O’Day Road, has announced that the museum will be closed temporarily so that the old museum can be moved to the new 6,000 sq. ft. W. Paul Wolf War History Museum next door. It will re-open on May 27th.
The W. Paul Wolf War History Museum will be dedicated during a Grand Opening ceremony on Saturday, May 27th. The new larger museum will feature new exhibits and displays from wars dating back to the Revolutionary War to the present. The Memorial grounds will remain open 24/7 for outside visitors.
Robert Thomas, Curator of the museum is extremely excited about the move. “We will need sufficient time to move our collections and set up new displays and exhibits in the new and expansive space.” Thomas said, “we have so many collectibles that can now be shown to our visitors and veterans. It’s a great improvement!”
