VINCENNES, Ind. (ADAMS) – Knox County Coroner Karen Donovan has been arrested by Indiana State Police after a nearly year-long investigation.
The 40-year-old is charged with possessing methamphetamine, possessing fentanyl, and official misconduct, all of which are Level 6 felonies.
Donovan was released on bond after being arraigned.
Police say they found meth and fentanyl in her home.
Indiana State Police issued the following:
Wednesday night, March 22, Indiana State Police arrested Knox County Coroner Karen Donovan, 40, of Vincennes, for Official Misconduct, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance.
Indiana State Police Detectives initiated an investigation in April of 2022 after receiving information of misconduct. Last night a search warrant was executed at Donavon’s residence in Vincennes and detectives located methamphetamine and fentanyl. Donovan was arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail where she later posted bond and was released.
