DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says that a Waterloo woman died in a three vehicle crash on US 6 Friday afternoon.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occured just after 3 p.m. when the driver of a Chevy Equinox heading when traffic began to slow down. This caused the Chevy to swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid hitting a vehicle in front of it.
The Equinox struck a GMC Envoy head on. As well, officials say that a car heading west behind the Envoy then hit the Equinox.
The driver of the Envoy, Taysha Sanders, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other drivers were injured in the crash. There were no passengers in any of the vehicles.
US 6 was shut down for several hours before reopening.
