FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Downtown Fort Wayne says that nine outstanding individuals were recently celebrated and recognized for their hard work and dedication throughout the community as part of a new Downtown Fort Wayne initiative, the Downtown Unsung Hero Awards.
An Unsung Hero is, “One who does great deeds but receives little recognition for them.”

The Downtown Unsung Hero Awards were a part of Celebrate Downtown, an annual gathering recognizing the people, places and partnerships that make Downtown Fort Wayne a great place to live, work and play. Celebrate Downtown 2023 was presented by Downtown Fort Wayne and sponsored in partnership with Barrett McNagny, Premier Bank and TriCore. The Downtown Unsung Hero Awards will return to Celebrate Downtown in 2024.
