WASHINGTON D.C. (ADAMS) – President Joe Biden is facing harsh criticism after he asked where late Congresswoman Jackie Walorski was during a speech at the White House yesterday. Many thought that he seemed to forget that she was killed in a tragic car wreck in August.
The Republican and two staff members were killed in a crash. The White House said that Biden had Walorski “top of mind” at the time of the remarks.
Indiana Republican Party chairman Kyle Hupfer says “no amount of spin from the White House can justify President Joe Biden forgetting the tragic passing of Jackie Walorski.”
In a statement in August after her death, Biden says he and his wife were shocked and saddened and appreciated her work on planning for the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health that was yesterday.
