FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Community Schools Board of School Trustees on Monday, July 25, approved the district’s first ever corporate sponsorship for naming rights.
In preparation for the grand opening of the Amp Lab at Electric Works, FWCS is soliciting the sponsorship of local companies in exchange for exclusive naming rights to one of four educational studios.
Representatives with FWCS say that 3Rivers Federal Credit Union is the first entity to step up with a financial sponsorship of $625,000. In exchange, the Venture Studio will be named the 3Rivers Federal Credit Union Venture Studio for five years.
“Amp Lab at Electric Works is proud to be blazing a new trail in our community,” Amp Lab Director Riley Johnson said. “Amp Lab would not exist if it wasn’t for strong partnerships that create new opportunities for students. Our partnership with 3Rivers is the perfect example of how these relationships are a two-way street. Our students will be changed for years from the financial insight, knowledge and mentorship provided by 3Rivers and for that we are grateful.”
As part of the agreement, 3Rivers will also provide financial literacy curriculum to students at Amp Lab and FWCS’ high schools.
“3Rivers Credit Union is proud to enter into this unique partnership with Fort Wayne Community Schools and Amp Lab,” Melissa Shaw, 3Rivers Vice President of Marketing, said. “3Rivers mission is to help people understand money matters every day to achieve financial wellness. We see this opportunity to provide financial education to so many young people as an innovative and exciting way to expand our commitment to the community.”
