DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – Police in DeKalb County say that a Butler man was hurt in a crash after he allegedly fell asleep. It happened just after noon on Saturday in the 3500 block of C.R. 61.According to a report, Dane Knapp, 39 was driving north in the 3500 block of C.R. 61 when he fell asleep.
His 2006 Dodge Dakota went off the east side of the road and traveled into the ditch – striking the culvert on County Road 34. Police said Knapp’s vehicle was a total loss.
Police say that Knapp complained of chest pain following the crash and was transported to an area hospital by Parkview EMS.
The DeKalb Co. Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Butler Police Dept., Butler Fire Dept., Parkview EMS, Jeff’s Towing, and Riverside Towing.
