FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A now-former Fort Wayne police officer is looking at charges after two women say he exposed himself to them, one of them says it happened while he was on the job and in uniform. Prosecutors yesterday formally charged 42-year-old Erik Melia with misdemeanor charges after the women say he showed them his penis.
One woman says Melia had just helped her with a domestic situation when he asked her to follow him to a parking lot. When she caught up to him, he had it out and was talking to her. Another woman filmed Melia when he showed up at her house with his penis exposed. It’s not clear when Melia resigned from the force, there is a warrant out for his arrest.
