MUNCIE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The former mayor of Muncie is being transferred from a federal prison to community confinement.
Dennis Tyler pleaded guilty to taking a bribe after serving as the mayor of Muncie from 2012 to 2019. Six months into his one-year sentence, Tyler was released from a Federal Correctional Institution in West Virginia.
He is expected to be housed by the Bureau of Prisons’ St. Louis Residential Reentry Management Office until his projected release date in October.
