FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – FWPD officials say that a shooting left two juveniles with injuries Tuesday afternoon.
Police and medics were called just after 4 p.m. to the 1700 block of Andrew Street, just north of downtown, on a report of a shooting.
One of the minors has critical injuries and the other is expected to survive. Police do not think either lived at the Andrew Street home. Police reportedly think the shooting was accidental.
FWPD officials released the following:
On Tuesday, 05/31/2022, at approximately 04:02 PM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 1700 block of Andrew Street regarding a reported shooting.
Officers arrived on scene to find two juvenile male victims with apparent gunshot wounds. One victim is reported to be in life-threatening condition and the other in non-life-threatening condition. Both victims were given aid on scene then transported to a local hospital.
