UPDATE (April 13, 2022):
Fort Wayne police say that two juveniles have been detained in the shooting death of a man off E. Paulding Road last Wednesday.
Luke Borer was found in the parking lot of the New Covenant Church just before 8 p.m.
Police say now that a 15 and 16-year-old have been arrested for robbery and murder.
The names of the juveniles have not been released.
The Fort Wayne Police Department released the following:
On April 6, 2022, at 7:48pm, Fort Wayne Officers responded to 3420 E. Paulding Road; the New Covenant Church reference a man-down investigation. Upon arrival, officers located the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s).
The Fort Wayne Homicide Division responded to investigate and after an exhaustive investigation made two arrests in the case. The suspects are both male juveniles and have been charged with the respective charges below.
The homicide division was assisted by the Emergency Service Team, the Vice/Narcotics Division, the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Allen County Coroner has released the identity of a man shot and killed on Wednesday outside a church off East Paulding Road.
The coroner says that Luke Matthew Borror was shot just before 8 p.m. outside the New Covenant Church.
Fort Wayne police say they found the 21-year-old outside of his car.
There’s no word about suspects or a motive in the case. Police are asking the public for tips.
Borror’s death was ruled a Homicide. The Allen County Coroner’s Office released the following:
The autopsy has been completed and notification has been made to the next of kin for the male victim that was found on the parking lot in the 3400 block of Paulding Road, in Fort Wayne, on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at approximately 19:48 hours. The decedent has been positively identified as Luke Matthew Borror male, white, 21years of age from Fort Wayne, Indiana.
A passing motorist observed Luke Matthew Borror unresponsive on the parking lot and telephoned the Fort Wayne Police Department. Luke Matthew Borror was pronounced deceased at the scene by Three Rivers Ambulance Authority paramedics.
Cause of Death has been determined to be Gunshot Wound and the Manner of Death is Homicide. Luke Matthew Borror is the 4th Homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2022. The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead Wednesday night. And right now, there are more questions than answers.
He was found in a parking lot off Paulding Road. A witness reported that several people ran from the scene following the shooting around 7:45 p.m.
Fort Wayne police say they found the victim outside of his car. He had been shot to death. There’s no word about suspects or a motive in the case.
FWPD officials released the following:
On April 6, 2022, at 7:46pm, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of a person down in a parking lot in the 3400 block of E. Paulding Rd. Officer arrived and located an adult male who appeared to be suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s) lying on the ground next to a vehicle. Officers began first aid but paramedics pronounced the male deceased.
At this time there are no suspects, however a witness reported seeing an unknown number of people running from the scene.
Detectives are canvassing the area, searching the surrounding buildings for any video surveillance footage. Crime scene personnel are processing the scene for evidence, as several shell casings were located on the scene.

The exact cause and manner of death as well as the identity of the decedent will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
