ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Transportation will host a public hearing for the proposed interchange modification project at I-469 and U.S. 24.
INDOT says that the preferred alternative for this project is the construction of a cloverleaf interchange that will help improve safety and overall interchange functionality.
The proposed improvements are part of Phase 2 of the interchange modification at I-469/U.S. 24. The project area is located at the west end of the existing I-469 interchange. Work includes removal of the existing traffic signal west of I-469 and converting the ramps into a full cloverleaf style interchange. U.S. 24 westbound to I-469 southbound and I-469 southbound to Rose Avenue movements will also be added.
Project construction is anticipated to begin in the winter of 2023.
