President Biden is promising to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to help Kentucky. He toured two cities hit the hardest by tornadoes last weekend and said he had never seen that kind of damage before. He assured survivors they would heal, recover and rebuild as the government will now cover every penny of emergency work for a full 30 days. As of this hour, the death toll is up to 75 with more than 100 people still missing.
While another company is allowing workers to stay remote even longer. Apple is delaying its return to the office indefinitely. The tech giant is also giving all corporate and retail employees a thousand dollars to buy equipment for their home offices. The moves come as COVID cases are rising again, with the omicron variant spreading to at least 34 states. That triggered Apple to close some stores and reinstate a mask mandate for shoppers.
