INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – An Indianapolis man will spend the next two decades in prison after he tried to kill a city police officer back in 2019.
On Tuesday, a judge sentenced William Allen to 20 years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to attempted murder charges.
According to reports, Allen fought with and took a gun from Indianapolis officer Eric Rosenbaum in May of 2019. Allen said he was going to kill Rosenbaum and shot him in the leg.
Rosenbaum has since recovered.
