FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they believe held up the Dollar General on West Washington Center Road back in August.
According to police he showed a weapon and apologized when he demanded money from the cashier. He reportedly said he had been evicted from his trailer.
Officers with the FWPD are asking that if you can identify him or if you have any information to come forward.
Officials released the following along with images of the suspect:
I am attaching suspect photos taken from the Dollar General, 2985 W Washington Center Rd, from 8/18/2021 @ 2145 hrs. Suspect entered store, grabbed several items, and went to checkout. He then showed a tan pistol in his waistband and stated he “was sorry to do this but I’m getting evicted from my trailer”. After getting the cash from the drawer he left on foot south away from the store. He is described as a male white, 30s to 40s, thin, dark hair.
