CAMP ATTERBURY, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana’s governor is praising the work of National Guard troops at Camp Atterbury and the generosity of people across the state.
Last week, Governor Eric Holcomb visited the Afghan refugees staying at the camp.
More than 1,000 refugees are currently at the camp, though Indiana could see as many as 5,000.
The governor says not only are the troops doing a great job, but he also said he is impressed with all of the things people across Indiana have donated to help the refugees who left Afghanistan with only what they could carry.
