A grandmother and aunt of a 14-year-old Kosciusko County girl are being charged for her disappearance.
Aaliyah Ramirez had been missing from Syracuse since late April and was found safe in Florida on Friday. 47-year-old Elizabeth Sands and 25-year-old Allissa Sands were both arrested.
They’re charged with interference with custody and false informing. In a Facebook post, Aaliyah’s mother said the two women were keeping Aaliyah in a hotel the past four months and concealing her identity.

SYRACUSE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A teenager missing from Kosciusko County has been found safe.
Fourteen-year-old Aaliyah Ramirez was located in Florida after being missing since April 27th.
U.S. Marshals pulled over a car at Lake Worth Beach on Friday and found Aaliyah inside.
Two women who were in the car were arrested for interfering with custody.
