CHICAGO (ADAMS) – Two brothers are being charged in a shooting that left a Chicago police officer dead.
Police Superintendent David Brown says Emonte Morgan faces first-degree murder charges while he and Eric Morgan both face weapons charges.
Officer Ella French was shot and killed during a traffic stop Saturday night. Her partner is still in the hospital and recovering after being hit by gunfire.
Brown also mentioned an Indiana man faces federal charges for allegedly giving an illegally purchased gun to the suspect that was used in the shooting. The weapon was reportedly purchased in Indiana.
